Spring Camp 2015

We are organizing a five day camp for elementary school aged kids during the Spring Break this year. The board members have come up with engaging activities to provide our kids a fun and educational camp.

  • Kids will be participating everyday in a 'Around the world' time where we will discuss about the latest science and technology wonders that are happening around us.

  • There will also be a outdoor play time in the play area that is just outside the shelter [if weather permits]

  • Lunch break will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM where kids will bring their own lunch and drink. Refrigerator/ Microwave available.

  • Registration is confirmed only after the payment has been received.
            Here are some of the activities that we will be doing in this camp. 
Monday Magnets Kids will learn about magnetic force. They will do experiments by themselves and learn about magnetic fields, why magnets attract or repel each other etc.
Tuesday Light Energy Kids will explore how light travels, what color is the sunlight, how objects are opaque or transparent, etc. They will do experiments with Prisms, learn about reflection and refraction.
Wednesday Sound Energy Kids will learn about how sounds are different, volume and pitch etc. They will conduct experiments to find out whether sound travels at the same speed through all materials and how they are different.
Thursday Living Things Kids will learn about life cycles of plants and animals. They will observe and learn the different parts of plants, how they survive and how they are classified. Weather permits, they will walk around and identify the various living things near the park shelter.
Friday Microscope and Telescope Kids will do lots of fun activities by observing every day objects through the microscope. They will also have fun with the telescope by observing far away objects. They will learn how these two amazing tools are used in science in the modern world.
