Greetings from Iowa Tamil Association (A Registered, Non-Profit, IRS Tax-Exempt 501 (C)(3) Organization)!
Thanks for your continued support over the last few years in sponsorship of community events held by Iowa Tamil Association. Such sustained sponsorship support is highly appreciated by all members of Iowa Tamil Association.
The Iowa Tamil Association (ITA) is proud to have a dedicated and engaged membership in Iowa, with each of our events consistently drawing over 300 participants. As we continue to grow and host these culturally rich events, we are actively seeking sponsors to support our activities from June 2024 to May 2025.
We are excited to announce our event plans for 2024-2025 and invite sponsors to be part of our vibrant cultural celebrations. The ITA will be hosting the following major events in the upcoming year:
Iowa Tamil Palli (ITP) is a cornerstone of our community, dedicated to preserving and promoting Tamil language, culture, and traditions. Through our educational programs, we provide Tamil language classes to children and adults, helping them stay connected to their roots. Our curriculum also includes cultural lessons, fostering a deep understanding of Tamil heritage and values. By sponsoring the Iowa Tamil Palli, you will help nurture future generations in their cultural journey while keeping our heritage alive.
ITA offers Silambam classes, a traditional Tamil martial art that combines physical fitness with cultural significance. Through these classes, we teach discipline, focus, and respect while preserving an ancient form of combat and self-defense. Silambam is not only a physical practice but also an important part of Tamil heritage, and our classes give participants an opportunity to learn its history and techniques. Sponsorship of the Silambam classes will support the teaching of this dynamic art form, keeping it alive for the future generations.
Parai is a traditional Tamil drum, and ITA offers Parai classes to teach the art of playing this rhythmic instrument, which is integral to Tamil festivals and celebrations. These classes allow individuals of all ages to experience the power and beauty of Tamil percussion music, helping to maintain an essential aspect of our cultural traditions. By supporting the Parai classes, you are helping to promote the continued practice and learning of this unique musical heritage within our community.
The arts play a significant role in our cultural celebrations, and we are committed to promoting Tamil arts through performances, workshops, and community events. From classical dance and music to contemporary artistic expressions, we aim to provide opportunities for artists to showcase their talent. Sponsoring the arts within the ITA means supporting the creativity and cultural expression of the community while preserving the rich traditions of Tamil artistry for generations to come.
In addition to hosting cultural events, the Iowa Tamil Association is deeply committed to supporting charitable causes both locally and globally. We organize charity drives periodically, with donations directed towards various initiatives that make a positive impact in communities. We invite you to donate and help support these charitable efforts, which play an essential role in making a difference in the lives of many.
We have developed a Simpler Cost Structure that offers a variety of benefits to our sponsors, including:
By sponsoring our events, you will be supporting the continued success and growth of the Tamil community in Iowa, while also gaining valuable exposure to an engaged and culturally diverse audience.
We sincerely thank you for considering sponsorship and donations to the Iowa Tamil Association. We look forward to collaborating with you for our events and charitable causes from June 2024 to May 2025.
